Physiotherapy Bike Fit

  • A Physiotherapy Bike Fit takes into account your:

    • Posture and body proportions

    • Flexibility

    • Injury history

    • Training history

    • Riding style

    • Goals

to customise your bike fit and optimise performance, comfort and injury prevention.

  • A Physiotherapy Bike Fit helps to optimise your posture, pedal stroke and joint angles by fine-tuning your saddle height, handlebar reach and cleat positioning.

This will promote symmetrical movement patterns and improve your overall cycling mechanics so that you can:

    • Generate power more efficiently

    • Minimise wasted energy

    • Reduce compensatory muscle fatigue

    • Enhance endurance

  • A Physiotherapy Bike Fit plays a crucial role in improving comfort, preventing injury and managing existing musculoskeletal conditions whilst on the bike.

An improper fit can lead to excessive strain on your body, including:

    • Knee pain

    • Hip pain

    • Lower back pain

    • Neck pain

    • Hand pain

    • Tingling or numbness in the hands and feet

An individualised approach to your bike fit can alleviate pain and pressure points, and enhance long-term riding enjoyment. This will allow for more consistent and pain-free training.
